I designed these sights for Marlin Cowboy rifles. They will fit any rifle with a 3/8″ dovetail in the barrel. They are made slightly oversized and require some light filing with a small triangle file to fit them to your rifle. File the sight, not your barrel!

These sights are made to resemble the old style Rocky Mountain front sights that were typically seen on vintage Marlin and Winchester rifles. The vintage sights were typically a two piece design with a separate base and blade. These are machined from one solid piece of steel. Most of the original sights are longer in length as they were fitted to barrels that had the dovetail cut about 3/4″ from the muzzle to the front of the dovetail. Many rifles, including the Marlin Cowboy rifles, have their dovetail cut only 3/8″ from the muzzle, these sights are made short enough in length to fit those rifles without overhanging the muzzle. The serrations keep the face in shadow under most lighting conditions for a sight picture with a crisp black post. These sights also make it very easy to file down slightly to make it the perfect height for your application without needing to file the front radius back in on a typical patridge style sight, which requires a bit of skill.
